Overview
The Rich text block is an advanced text component that supports formatted content such as headings, paragraphs, lists, links, and inline styling.
Unlike the Text block, this block allows multi-format content inside a single block, making it suitable for longer or structured content.
Where to use this block
Use the Rich text block when you need:
Multi-paragraph content
Headings mixed with paragraphs
Lists or structured content
Editorial / storytelling content
Policies, product descriptions, FAQs, or long-form text
For simple single-line or single-style text, consider using the Text block instead.
How to add this block
Open Theme Editor.
Add or select a section that supports blocks.
Click Add block → Rich text.
Enter formatted content and adjust settings.

Tips for best results
Use Rich text for structured or long-form content.
Use Text block for simple text or headings.
Avoid very large font scale with narrow custom width.
Ensure important content appears within visible height when using truncated text.
Test both desktop and mobile layouts when using custom width.
Common mistakes
Text appears cut off
Increase Visible height or disable truncated text.
Layout looks too narrow
Change width from Fit content to Fill.
Text spacing looks too tight or too loose
Adjust heading or paragraph line height.
Color not matching theme
Switch color from Custom back to Text (theme foreground).
Common use cases
The Rich text block is commonly used for:
Product descriptions with multiple paragraphs
Brand story / About us content
Policy pages (Shipping, Returns, Warranty)
FAQ or informational sections
Editorial / storytelling content
Marketing copy with headings and lists
Long-form content inside tabs, accordion, or content sections
Limitations
Does not support custom HTML or scripts (for security and performance reasons).
Styling is controlled by theme settings — not full manual CSS control.
Complex layouts (columns, grids, advanced positioning) are not supported inside this block.
Truncated text uses fixed height — may cut content mid-paragraph if set too small.
Font scaling affects all content inside the block (cannot style headings and paragraphs separately).
Some formatting from external copy/paste sources may be cleaned automatically by the editor.
